Stretch Goals CLEARED + The Road Ahead

As of Tuesday morning, INFINITE REVOLUTION has fully funded and hit every single stretch goal in just under a week. This really is beyond any expectations I had for the campaign, and I am so deeply, incredibly grateful!

Now, some other quick updates:

• Shortly after this update goes live, PDF add-ons of IGNITION will be available to all backers!
• I'm still working away at the Quickstart and plan to have it out by the end of September—there's going to be some fun surprises in it that I can't wait to share.
• Now that we've officially hit the normal and expected mid-campaign slowdown, updates are going to be more sporadic—I'll be focused on the Quickstart and beginning corebook revisions, so my KS activity will be reserved for answering questions and the occasional big campaign update.
• I also wanted to give a special shoutout to Heliotrope, the incredible artist and designer who's responsible for nearly all the graphic assets on this Kickstarter page! They've been an amazing partner on this project and this campaign would not have been anywhere close to what it is without them. I'm extremely lucky to work with someone who's so talented and passionate, and you'll very likely be seeing more of their work in the future 👀

23K!! + FINAL STRETCH GOAL REVEAL

This one's a little late—it's been a very busy weekend! Now that we've blown through 23k, it's time for a quick recap of our most recent stretch goal unlock, and what's on the horizon...

UNLOCKED ($23,000): Full Drive Core Illustrations!! All twelve of the core book zodiac cores will receive their own illustration, capturing the essence of an iconic Revolver. I'm extremely pumped to bring them to life and make the book that much more gorgeous!

As for our last stretch goal? It's a big one. At $25,000, we'll unlock...

INFINITE REVOLUTION: IGNITION

IGNITION is a massive collection of standalone sitreps, strategic complications, backgrounds, mission prompts, and generative tables, written to help spark GM and player ideas at any scale: from a one-off station to an entire mission or campaign! The finished zine will be fully compatible with INFINITE REVOLUTION's core rules, while remaining modular enough to drop into the sci-fi system of your choice. IGNITION will be released post-fullfillment as PDF zine for all backers at the Supernova tier and above.

It's been such a wonderful, wild ride not even a week into the campaign, and I just want to restate again how incredibly grateful I am for all of your support. Thank you, again, and I can't wait to see where these next 25 days will take us.

Stretch Goal #4 Reveal + Stretch Goal Add-Ons + Limited Constellation Tier Refresh!

Last night, we closed out our $18k stretch goal—a cover-to-cover printing upgrade for the finished book! I'm incredibly excited that I'll be able to share the best possible version of INFINITE REVOLUTION in print with you. That means it's also time to reveal our next stretch goal:

At $20,000 in funding, we'll unlock TALES FROM THE BLACK, an anthology zine that collects field transmissions, legends, action reports, short stories, and other small fictions from INFINITE REVOLUTION's universe by a variety of intensely talented authors!! The finished zine will be included as both a PDF and a black&white booklet zine for backers at Supernova and above!

And for non-Supernova backers, I have some exciting news—as of today, you'll be able to pledge for any digital stretch goal as a PDF add-on! (Physical versions of TALES FROM THE BLACK will remain exclusive to Supernova+).

Finally, a reminder of my announcement yesterday—when this post goes live (which, if you're reading it, is right now) I'll be opening up 6 additional Constellation slots at an increased price! Get 'em while you can!

EDIT: We are now AMAZINGLY close to our $20k stretch goal! Limited Second Wave of Constellation Tiers TOMORROW!

This is a quick (but exciting) one!

After several backers expressed interest in the higher tiers after they'd sold out, I've made the decision to add an additional 6 slots at the Constellation (design a custom Drive Core) pledge tier! 

These slots will get you all the same rewards as the first wave, but at an increased price ($120). I know people are really excited about this tier, but making a unique, flavorful player option is a lot of work—and making a total of 18 of them is a significant commitment! This round is going to be a little more expensive to make sure I can deliver the best possible results. (To be clear, this price increase isn't retroactive to the first wave of Constellation backers—I don't think Kickstarter even lets you do that).

The pledge option will go live tomorrow (9/8), at 11am CST.

Yeah, um. Holy shit. Thank you.

After taking 24 hours off from Kickstarter and social media in general to give myself a much-needed break and fend off launch-day anxiety, I checked the campaign today and was floored by the outpouring of support and excitement IR has received. I was confident in the game's success, sure, but I'm not going to lie and say I was anticipating this.  It's been a dizzying and humbling morning—as it stands, we're fast approaching (in the first 48 hours!) my initial, optimistic funding estimate for the entire campaign. 

So, again: a massive, heartfelt thanks to everyone who's pledged, shared the game via word of mouth, commented, retweeted, or anything else. [Extra special thanks to the incredibly generous backer who pledged at the $999 moonshot tier in the first fifteen minutes of the campaign—you know who you are <33]

Now, on to the good stuff!

Stretch Goals 

They're here! At time of posting, we've already blown past our first stretch goal and are fast closing on the second! You can check out the campaign page for a full breakdown, but here's a quick overview of what's been unlocked with your generous support, and what's on the (very, very close) horizon:

UNLOCKED: Sticker Upgrade. ALL Drive core stickers will be upgraded into premium holographic versions, and I'll also be including a die-cut "SWORDFLIGHT" Revolver sticker for EVERYONE at Starlight tier and above. 

At $15,000 in funding, we'll unlock Into The Veil: INFINITE REVOLUTION's first expansion zine! ITV, as the name implies, is an expansion dedicated to Prima Sol's iconic antagonists, and adds a wealth of options for both GMs and players: more Veil strains, V-space incursions, the eerie, unlight-touched Ophiuchus Core, and more!

Also, while not strictly a stretch goal, I am delighted to announce that we've sold out of all 12 Constellation pledge slots! That means EVERYONE, at ANY tier, will be getting 12 all-new Drive Cores, each designed and inspired by a different one of our generous backers. I'm wildly excited to work with you all to bring your ideas into reality!

Important Fulfillment Information

This one's less exciting, but equally important! First off, I want to give a very important update on delivery estimates. Due to the campaign being delayed from its original August 15th launch date, the delivery date estimates on certain pledge tiers are incorrect. Kickstarter does not let you manually update delivery estimates once the campaign is launched, so I'm not able to fix these myself (without contacting support, which I have done). 

Until then, in the spirit of transparency, I wanted to issue a correction here:

ALL BASE PLEDGE TIERS will be fulfilled, pending unforeseen delays, between July and August of 2024.

Tiers with custom content (Constellation and above) will receive their books and other rewards at the same time as other backers, but the custom content (digital or otherwise) will be delivered separately, after all other fulfillment has concluded. Specific timelines for this are TBD but I'll be reaching out to backers at these tiers with more details once we're closer to fulfillment.

Shipping

I understand, especially for international backers, it can be daunting to pledge without an estimate of shipping costs, so I've done my best to give a range for various regions here! 

All prices are in USD.

US Domestic: $5-12 [I'll be using Media Mail for all domestic shipments, so expect the actual price to be on the low end of this range]

Canada: $7-15

UK: $25-35

All Other Regions: $20-35

For all physical backers, especially those outside of  the US and Canada, I want to stress again that these prices are broad,conservative estimates. International shipping is charged based on weight, not postage, and freight costs change literally from week to week. I'm giving as large a range as I comfortably can to ensure that while final shipping prices may end up lower than the listed range, they hopefully shouldn't end up any higher than the top end. 

I plan on collecting shipping once fulfillment has begun in earnest, around summer of 2024.

Future Updates

I plan on giving progress updates around once or twice a week for the duration of the campaign as necessary. They'll generally be posted around midday (11am-1pm CT), though this one is a little later. Once funding concludes, I'll be switching to a monthly update cadence. High-priority updates might be posted separately, but in general, you can expect one email from me a month after October!
